On the way through Germany we stopped at the lake side resort of Bodensee; a lovely little tourist town full of ice cream shops and cafes. Basically took time to get over the long and speedy journey through Swizerland.
One major highlight of our time in Uberlingen was having a couple of drinks in a fantastic pub. This was one of those pubs that all other pubs should be moulded on; smokey, sticky floors, dindgy with a weird arrangement of memorabilia on the walls, amazingly cheap and playing fantastic music. My kind of pub... ok, so your clothes smell of smoke for the next five days, that's just part of the experience!
Enjoyed Uberlingen but was starting to worry about the fact that the only people travelling around Europe at this time of year are retired Germans. Not that we have anything against Germans it's just that after I have used up my one phrase of 'est ist Kalt, ya' I have to go back to wild hand gestures and mime.
