Out came my jacket and gloves soon after we landed! A thin layer of snow covered the ground and it was drizzling. After a 4 hour flight, I still had another 3.5 hours to get home. Firstly the aeroexpress from the airport into Moscow's Paveletskaya Station and then the metro to Tushinskaya and another train ride to Nachabino. The thought of taking the bus from the train station home definitely did not appeal to me especially with it still drizzling and knowing I would have a 1km walk from the bus stop to the estate and taxis where lined up outside the train station. A very rare sight indeed. I don't think I have ever seen taxis hanging around outside the train station but as soon as I saw them, I knew that would be my ride home instead of the lengthy bus ride.

Everyone has gone home for the long weekend and I think I must have been the first one back home. The house was so very quiet. I had all three floors to myself until late evening when Sveta arrived home. Everyone else returned the following day and Wednesday, it's back to school!
