Wednesday 7th March - Tonight we had arranged to go to see some comedians at Enmore Theatre just down the road from where we live. It was the opening night of a comedy tour called "The Carcker". There were aboyt 5/6 comedians from all over the world, including one from the UK!!! So we take our seats and wait for the show to begin, about 10 minutes before show time, 3 lads walked in, one of them had the biggest hair you have ever seen!!! Seriously big.....all i could think was "please dont sit in front of us, please dont sit in front of us".......where did they sit?.....yep in front of us, im serious when i saw we literally couldnt see the stage!!! Anway after finding their seats they must have gone off to get a drink or something and us girls just looked at each other and thought....what are we going to do, if they stay sitting there we wont be able to see a thing!!!!!....everyone around us was looking as if to say "thank god they didnt sit in front of me"!!! Anyway, muggins here pulled the short straw and had to try and get them to swop seats with us. Luckily we was at the back of the second tier in the theatre which meant the next lot of people behind us were another tier up......so i said in the nicest way possible "excuse me boys, you dont want to swop seats and let us littleuns sit there and you lads take our seats do you?"......"course" they said, all the while bug hair boy was trying to flatten down his hair and his mates were cracking up!!! The people in the seats around us started looking and giving us the thumbs up.....it was a right laugh and that was before the show had even started!!! The comedians were amazing, especially Gina Yashere, so much so we are going to see her show in a week or so.
Sunday 10th March - Another Sunday and another day of washing, food shopping and general house work was on the cards. Got up and went downstairs to make a cuppa, leaving lindsey still in bed. Alicia was already up and downstairs with Tiff. Made a cuppa and one for lin and was taking ot upstairs when Alicia said she was popping over the garage to get some mufins for breakfast (nothing unusual there). So i takes the tea upstairs (and fall up the stairs in the process....doh) and am just chatting to lin in the bedroom. Alicia walks in and says "i couldnt find any muffins but will these do?".....i looked over to where she was standing and who WALKS IN BEHIND HER?!?!?!?! LUCY AND LAURA!!!!!!!!! I honestly couldnt move or talk or register that they were even really there for what felt like a few minutes. Then it sort of registered and i screamed closely followed by a few tears!!!! There was lots of screaming, lots of shouting, jumping around and a few tears, it's the biggest surprise ive ever had in my life, i still cant get my head round it!!!! After things calmed down a bit we went downstairs and were talking at 100 mph, 5 months worth of catching up to do!!!! Anyway turns out that they had actually booked it a week after we left and kept it quiet the whole time, also everyone at home was also in on the secret and Alicia obviosuly....dont know how everyone kept that but you did well and it couldnt have gone better!!! Thanks everyone :)
The rest of the day was spent in the garden catching up with a few beers and every now and again i would nearly wet myself as the realisation was still hitting i'd be like "i cant believe we are sitting here, talking face to face!!!" We introduces the girls to the Metro for some food (the little shopping centre across the park from where we live). Afterwards we headed back to the floor where after being up for about 2 days Lucy and Laura passed out and fell asleep for about 5 hours. They woke up about 10pm and were wide awake (ish) so more tea and more chatting and more screaming. About 11.30 Al and Rob ring and say they will be back in Sydney in about an hours time can they come and stay (they were actually due back monday). Of course they can we say. So any way another few hours later they turn up so there is a house full, its about 2 in the morning we are all drinking tea, chatting and generally having a laugh. The girls start to get tired and most of us had work in the morning so i borrowed the boys camper van (which smelt vile by the way after them living, eating and breathing in it for the last 2 weeks) and dropped the girls off at Bondi Beach where they were staying and then got a bit lost on the way home. By the time we got round to getting into bed it was about 4.30am and i had to get up at 6.30am for work, hardly seemed worth going to bed. But i did and was mega tired the next day but everytime i thought about why i was tired it would put a smile on my face and it never seemed that bad :)
The week up until now (Friday 16th March), ive been working during the day and been catching up for drinks and dinner with Lucy and Laura every night, so there have been lots of late nights and early mornings but its all so worth it!!!! Friday is finally here and im sure we'll celebrate properly now the end of working has come and Lucy and Laura being here with some drinks over the weekend. We've got lots of plans in the pipeline. The girls are going to come to the Blue Mountains with us for a few days, we are going to see a comedy show and do lots of sightseeing with them. Its going to be a busy few weeks, bring it on is what i say :)
