202nd Rangers America 2013
We arrived at the camp site after a good couple of hours shopping at the Outlet Mall. We arrived before the Girl Scouts.
In the evening we got to know each other and two of the American girls did a stress relieving session for one of their awards.
Saturday morning was taken up mostly with cooking and washing up after a cooked breakfast!! The girls now appreciate why we have a cold one at our weekends away!!
We went for a walk round the camp site and played on the pontoon and the fitness trail. Then we got ready for the trip to the plantation.
Plimouth Plantation is split into an Indian reservation and a Colonial Settlement, everyone worked towards a Plantation patch ( badge) asking questions regarding the history.
Evening time we had a campfire and Johanna and Rosie made their promise which was interesting although we did it the American way, so we will probably be having a rerun somewhere in New York.
Today Sunday we went into Plymouth and saw the rock - and then went to Walmart - more retail therapy. Followed by lunch at TGI Fridays. We tried to find the Ocean Spray Cranberry factory which is supposed to give tours and free samples - but the two venues we went to were shut!!
We pressed on to collect our big bags from Lesley's and then to Laura's for a much needed shower (only one at camp) and a lovely American Dinner. Laura had also very kindly arranged an Easter Egg Hunt which was well received by the girls.
Up early tomorrow to get the minibus back and then catch the Greyhound bus to New York.
