Sorry about the delay in adding the photos. Bit of a problem transferring them from the camera and had to wait until we went to the Girl Scouter's house to upload them via the computer.
We are now in Acton in the Holiday inn and had some retail therapy and a chill out day after the busy three days we had in Boston.
The weather has been very kind to us so far so fingers crossed for the weekend when we are at the camp site.
As you can see we have done the Freedom Trail in Boston a bit of walking but we it got us over the jet lag some what.
Saturday we went on the hop on hop off bus to save our feet!! Went to Harvard and Fenway park home of the Red Sox. In the evening we went to Quincy Market to shop and eat.
Sunday we used the bus again (we had a two day pass ) and went on the Harbour cruise and the Boston Tea Party Museum. We were told in no uncertain terms how cruel the British were with the extra taxes we put upon the residents. No day to shout that we were proud to be British!! We had a meal at the Hard Rock.
A treat as it was Easter Sunday.
Yesterday was spent leaving Boston which we did late morning and getting back to the Airport to collect the minibus and making towards the hotel. We managed a swim and/or the gym before going to Lesley's for tea which has helped with the budget. We have also had the offer to stay with Laura on Sunday night which is very kind of her and also saves us the cost of a hotel.
Tonight we have been to the Girl Scout meeting and also went to the shop before the mall. We planned the menus for the weekend. Unfortunately not all the pen pals were at the meeting which was a bit of a disappointment.
Tomorrow we are again going to have it rammed down our throats about the horrible British as we are visiting Concord the venue of the start of the American Revolution.
The girls have been fab, always being at the agreed place at the agreed time. They have been very polite to everyone they have met. Very proud of them.
Will post the Concord photos up tomorrow as Peter and I are staying with Lesley for the two nights.
