Had a really good trip by Greyhound bus from Boston to NY. Arrived at hotel after pulling our luggage through the busy streets for some not a good experience due to the luggage being travel worn and damaged. Got changed and went to Time Square for dinner and retail therapy.
Weather very warm today it has been in the 80's. We have had a busy day. Got a ticket for the hop on hop off bus and did the downtown tour. Went to Ground Zero and then joined the bus again to return to Time Square. As part of the ticket we took the night tour which worked well as we saw the lights going on the buildings. It took 2 hours and then we went to Ellen's Stardust Diner for Dinner. This is a 50's Diner where the waiting staff get up and sing which the girls enjoyed. This was the first time that the allocation money for food was not enough due to the 18% service charge but we had money over from lunch, yesterday's dinner and breakfast allocation. The girls felt it was worth the expense as it was a great experience.
Tomorrow again as part of the ticket we are taking a harbour cruise to see the Statue of Liberty which is closed due to no electricity after the hurricane sandy. Then taking the uptown tour bus weather promises to be warm again. Most have packed shorts and dresses to cope with the weather, and there's always the shops!
