First of all I have to say, even if I have seen just a very little part of this huge Country, India is for shure incredible!
I had a great time and I have seen some great parts of it, even sad ones, but I have seen REAL India and that´s what I wanted to see!
I was volunteering in a Slum school in Jaipur, tryed to teach children and even women english reading and writing. I could stay with the „women impowerment group" and because of hat I had the great opportunity to visit families in theyr home, talked to them and heard theyr stories about life. What a honor to get welcoming presents in form of manicure and pedicure or „just" tea and biscquits from people they were sharing one room for around 5-6 people! (kitchen, livingroom, sleepingroom, office, all in one…!!!)
Sharing time with this fabulous people was one of the best experiences I made on this trip!
Also the visit of the village school close to Ranthambhore ; we were the first or second western peoplethey ever went into this village and stoped there. We devenitely were the first western ever who visited the school. That´s why we got this great „ceremony", a lot of spectators and presents. Nearly the whole village came to see us. It was a huge happening for them and I´m shure, the kids and theyr parents will talk about it for a long time. (or stare at the tousends of pictures they have taken with the mobile phones…)
The meeting with „Shirkan the tiger" was short but a great experience too! (I felt like beeing Mogli in the movie „Jungle book", also because oft he scenery)
Trying getting peace while I was practiceing Yoga and doing Meditation in an Ashram in Rishikesh was nice to. But I may need some more practise to get more in to it.
I still prever the „action" thats why I was glad to do a withe water rafting on the holy Ganges and a short trekking to see a great view to some oft he Hymalaya peaks far away.
Of course I went to see a hairdresser! ;-) Oh my god, what fun… ! Got a haircut for less than 3 bugs including a full head-, shoulder- and arm massage. My whole body was shaking because of the effort and hard work the hairdresser made…The face massage mashine was kind of strange an I didn`t really like the feeling of this hard stuff on my face bones but after the treat my skin was feeling like a baby bud! So it was worth it anyway !;-)
Taj mahal, the symbole of love ; Impressive Building and lovely story behind ! Glad I finally had the chance to see it! The strangers who wanted to take pictures of us were not so nice but we could handel it by showing them how it ist o be followed by someone and get taken pictures of yourself from very close….(I think they were a bit shocked later on…;-) )
Celebrating my „ last hours beeing in my 20ies" in a very fancy and great Restaurant while sharing time with some awesome people I met on this trip and then turning 30 at a place on the beach was great to. Glad I met you all guys!!! Thank you so much for this great dinner surprise and the weekend at the beach!!!!! <3
I could talk about so many great things of this trip but it will probably fill a whole book. So I should stop. ;-)
I told to myself, that I have to go back to India again! It`s such a huge country and there is so much to see! I wanna explore more of it!
