Off exploring
Swakopmund is a funny little place. It's a small town on the coast with massive sand dunes on one side, and the sea on the other side. It's Namibia's centre for adrenaline sports, so today we try our hand and sandboarding.
Turns out that getting down a 150m sand dune is a damn site quicker and easier than getting up the b*****!
Good fun through.
We also tried a lie-down stand boarding run, where you lie on a piece of 7mm hardboard, and send yourself down the dune. I clocked 58kmph on the speed gun, before flipping and head planting in the sand.
Jacklyn managed 68kmph!! Flipping crazy fun. Much better than 'placy bagging'
