After leaving Rotorua we headed to Taupo where I knew I would be jumping out of a plane today!
It's my first Skydive, ever since I saw my dad do one I have always wanted to feel that adrenaline rush! Today is the day... 15,000ft.
We got picked up from our hostel in a limousine just to add to the excitement, we then proceeded to the jump site, myself, Nick, Ben and our pals Adi and Magnus. We were all buzzing and couldn't wait to get up in the air.
When we arrived we had to decided what camera we wanted to film us and fill in some safety forms, once that was done we got kitted up in our sexy harnesses and ready to fly!
I met my instructor, Hans, from Holland, really nice guy who's done over 18,000 jumps! Not bad eh?!
We started my DVD filming and climbed into a bright pink plane that would take us up 15,000 ft. The climb was a long one, I was shaking my legs with pure adrenaline, buzzing to throw myself out of the aircraft! Call me crazy but I just couldn't wait...
Then it came, the doors opened up and people started dropping out like flies, it was pure madness as I made my way to the edge, I looked down and thought s***! Hans pulled my chin up and tilted my head back against his chest, then before I knew it I was being dropped from the plane! There's no words to describe the next 5 minutes of my life, epic doesn't come close!
We soared and screamed, the views were phenomenal! As quickly as it began it was all over, we came in to land and finished the last part of my DVD. I was shaking and buzzing throughout my entire body! Such a thrill.
Eventually we made our way back to the hostel and spoke to everyone about it, we went for some pub grub and had a night out to celebrate, Hans was out that night too so it just topped off one of the best days of my life!
