Early start to get our bus from Waitomo to Rotorua, not a bad journey there and we arrived around midday to check into our largest dorm yet, a 10 bed dorm!
We didn't really have much time to settle in as we were off luging today which is similar to go karting but as you'll see from the pictures the karts don't have any engines, it's all downhill gravity.
We went with a small group that included the 3 of us and 3 others called Graham, Sophie and Aga. We had a great laugh, the 4 of us boys just racing and causing mayhem! Dodging slow Asians on the track or as I like to call them - human chicanes! Nick making excuses as to why he lost every race! But all in all a really good laugh, finished off by some goody goody gum drops ice cream.
We headed back to the hostel and got ready for our Maori Village evening. We got a separate bus there and went deep into the forest to this dark quaint village where the tribe lived. They put on this fantastic show for us and we ate like kings so it was a really fantastic cultural experience.
Overall it's one of the best days so far. Bedtime.
