Hello friend! I wish I could pop over and give you a big HUG! you are doing so well I am sure with coping with such enormous differences and I really do empathise with the language frustrations!
It has been cold and rainy here today and I have to go and walk with the dog so with try to visualise you in hot sun to cheer me up! Visited Cambridge yesterday and Ali is doing well and Matthew has finally completed all the work for MFA so they are hoping to have some time to relax down in Cornwall I think. I keep feeding her tidbits from your blog etc but know that she would also send her love as well xx take care x

In response to Chris' message. Not Yorkshire Puddings, but bread. It is cooked twice a day in a stone oven that is round with a hole at the top - like an old fashioned bee hive. The fire is in the bottom and the bread is made into rounds and stuck to the walls of the oven - will try to get a picture. Bread is eaten with everything, but is hard by the next day.

I've only just found your photos - and they are so stunning. Tajikistan is so much more colourful than I had imagined it - I had a sort of dusty, drab beigey grey in my mind when I pictured it. How wrong could I be! And how right a setting it looks for you! So now I shall eagarly keep looking for more pictures as well as your lovely accounts,
Lots of love Maggie xx

Lovley sunny day in UK today but still only about 25 at the most Iwonder how you are really coping with the 30 plus all the time! It is fabulous to read your reports and check out the pictures - so many wonderful experiences and so many more to come I am sure. Hope the 'parasites' keep away - keep well x
Yvonne
I finally conceded and went to the doctor on Saturday, who basically said it was a bug (he calls them parasites) and gave me a number of tablets to kill it off. i have not had any more pain and thanks to his rehydration powder, no more cramp either. \must be feeling better as I had an urge for fried bread and fried tomatoes at lunch time today - comfort food. So I hope to avoid any reports on the sad state of my stomach and associated organs, at least for a while.

Hope you enjoy the most recent blog and pictures. Don't find time to give them all titles, but they include the Karatak valley and Iskandakul lake. Will try to keep up to date with new information. thanks so much for all your messages, it is really good to hear from so many people.
