Afternoon everyone! Well, it's raining over here now but that hasn't dampened our spirits as we've had a fantastic day in Mareis today. We started by going shopping in the market; where some of us bought pressies for our loved ones (not telling so don't ask!), goodies to take home and a rather bright pair of sunglasses! After shopping in the market square, where everyone was friendly and some were rather more encouraging than others to get us to buy their goods, we wandered off to the fish market! Poor Rachel was quite sad that some of the fish were taking their last gasps in a plastic box but it hasn't put her off eating fish fingers at all! We saw all sorts of different types of swimming things like: lobsters (which were also alive), crabs, prawns, fish in all shapes and sizes and a tank of teeny weeny goldfish that looked a bit out of place. When we'd finished lunch at the Fish Museum we had a great guided tour in both French and English which told us all about fishing in France, and the lives of French fishermen and their families. We were all very brave touching the rays in the tank which were strangely rough and slimy at the same time. We ended our day out at the cemetary, which seemed to fit the mood as it had started to rain. Now, back at base and all a bit tired, we're relaxing indoors in the warm whilst waiting for our supper. I wonder what French treats tonight will bring .......

Miss Lee What shopping without me??!!
Monsier Hart et Monsieur Drumgold Hello Year 10s! Glad to hear you have had a good day, we hope you enjoyed the fish! Joe D. and I have just enjoyed reading the blog post, and we both think 'good on you' Rachel for still wanting to eat the fish fingers! Hope you have a good evening and enjoy Day 3 tomorrow. Bonsoir from us!
Miss Maier More pics please! (and don't we have some award winning photographers in that group?!?) I am enjoying reading about the day's adventures and can't wait for the next installment.
Mrs Scott Hi Year 10s, it sounds as though you're having a fantastic time. I'm very jealous on the food front. How did you get Luke Reavey to eat frog's legs? Very proud of you all for trying lots of new things. Hope the teddies are getting on! Take care and see you soon.
Mrs Middleton Hello Year 10s -it is lovely to hear that you are having an exciting time away experiencing new things. Hoping that there are some photos of the courageous students touching the rays in the tanks. Have a terrific Thursday and a safe journey back.
