Ive had such a great time since I've come to Thailand.
We only had a few days in Phuket but that was enough for me really. It was a lot more commercial than expected and the main strip of bars kinda reminded me of Benidorm. Rob's friends took us to a gorgeous resteraunt that looked like a tree house and it was full of flowers, the food was delish. I also had a thai massage which was amazing!! The women are quite small but they pick you up and bend you into positions I didnt think was possible. She cracked all my back and I felt great afterwards.
We than packed up and got the boat to Ko Phi Phi and I couldn't believe it. This is definately the best place I've ever been!! Well my pictures speak for themself. We were only supposed to be staying a couple of nights but me and Rach love it so much we've decided to stay six nights, then to Ko Lanta for two nights before Bangkok.
The beaches here are out of this world. We walked up a million steps to the Viewpoint where you can see all of the Island and it took my breath away. One of those moments where you have to pinch yourself. (My current profile pic is of this)
I also love the nights here. Relaxed at the beach bars, watching the fire dancers who are amazing, with the sea and the mountains in the background. Rach has taken a video pf the fire dancers so when that goes on facebook you'll see what I mean, the pictures taken really dont do them justice. After the fire dancers and a few chang everyone gets up for a dance and i've had a right laugh.
Today has been such a memorable day for me, my best yet travelling and it will be very difficult to top. Me and Rach took a boat trip to the island where The Beach was filmed. We first stopped at Monkey Island - to check out the Monkeys suprisingly. When we got off the boat the Monkeys looked really cute but we were warned not to feed them or go near. They were quite wild and kept fighting and a massive one chased a baby into the sea and wouldn't let it back on the beach. When our tour guides took us back to the boat they went back to try and save the baby but all the monkeys came to attack them and they had to come back to the boat. Scary Monkeys
The next beach stop was for snorkelling and Kayaking. I've never snorkelled before and I was quite rubbish at it but when I did manage to get my head under the water it was amazing. I've never seen anything like it in my life all the colourful fish and coral and I will never forget it.
We then went to Maya Beach and it was beautiful, as are all the beaches here. We set off back to watch the sunset and were joined by loads of dolphins following the boat. It took my breath away and I nearly cried like a girl I loved it so much. I've never seen dolphins like this and it felt really special. On the way back the sun was setting on one side of the boat and the full moon on the other. What an experience, im not sure I can put into words how good today was.
