I am sitting outside at our home in Moab, the Kokopelli Lodge, writing a quick update to our travelogue. Jon is in the shower and Rhonda is getting dressed. We need to pack the car for the 5-hour trip to Bryce Canyon.
Yesterday we toured Arches, one of Rhonda and my favorite memories from the last time we came by this part of the country. We took two 2-3 hour hikes to see the beautiful arches that God has carved into the landscape. It was hot, but dry and sunny, and we were grateful for the strrong breeze that cooled us off.
Last night we went to the rodeo. It was a real professional affair, with some of the top names in professional rodeo.
Rhonda got to know the young cowboy sitting next to us. DC was about four or five years old. We took a picture of him because he was so cute in his cowboy hat and boots. Later, he won the Mutton Bustin race! Kids get on full grown sheep and hold on for dear life!
We were all pretty tired when we got back to the Kokopelli at around 11.

Peter Then who took this photo birthday boy?
Matt That is Awesome!!!! I want to ride a sheep now. ps - this travelogue is pretty cool too. It's the first thing I do when I get in to work. :) we miss you
Steve Rhonda takes most of the pictures. We call her Shutterbug. So glad you are enjoying the blog Matt. It only takes a few minutes and we want to get the photos downloaded anyway - that is what takes the most time. Sheep riding is dangerous - most of the kids - some as young as 2 - don't last even one second.
Debbie Happy Birthday Steve. This will be a memorable one. Debbie
Susan This is way better than our trip would be to blog. We're only changing hotels once. Plus, the pictures just wouldn't compare! Miss you folks. Praying for safety as you make your way back on the southern portion of your trip.
