Taught for the last time yesterday at Singburi school, also found out that the school is really quite poor and that most of the children there are from broken families, and relys on the school for clothes and food. we started the day with a sports day and as there were 3 classes, there were 3 teams, called halloween,vampire and dolphin. i was the scorer and had to be running around in the field in the boiling heat! it was so hot yesterday ! dolphin won and then we had tug of war, the kids got quite aggressive and angry at that! lol we then ended it with a teacher 3-legged race, i was partners with jess and we won :) it was then lunch time and the food was very nice. it was phat-thai (thick noodles) with chips. after eating we were asked to tell ghost stories and i told one about a dancing ghost, lol they seemed to enjoy it though. then it was time to say goodbye and i actually got abit emotional, th e kids were so cute asking if i could stay longer and if i'd come back and see them again.

this teaching week has been such a experience and i have no regrets that i choose to do teaching instead of trekking.(although trekking would have bee amazing!). it really has helped me to beable to see things from a different perspective as most of the kids at the school are so poor they can't even afford clothes, but yet they are so happy everyday and is content with such basic things. also they are so attentive towards us teachers and are so happy to see us. it makes me realise how we take so much for granted and that we are always complaining about 'wanting this and that'. i think the kids can teach us so much, and that it is so much more important to be happy and content with what we have rather than complaining everyday about what we don't have.

i've almost finished packing now, it feels werid that tonights going to be the last night at the eco-house, it feels like we've been there for ages! we're setting off tomorrow at 7am and it'll take about 5 hours bus journey to get to Koh Samet. can't wait to chill and party on the beach! as its not full moon when we're there think we're gonna have a half-moon party :P
