World Tour 06
Yes folks thats right its journal entry time!!
Been having such a blast the past few weeks none of us have been bothered to update this site apart from whack photos on it!
As you can tell by the piccys we have been incredibly busy and as i have a hangover the size of China and not long on the internet i will try cram all our adventures recently into this one entry...
We are now in another chapter of our trip up the east coast of Australia as we entered Queensland in late march.
This is where our package holiday started and first on the list was Noosa where we went to Australia Zoo!!
Sadly it was raining that day but was a good excuse to buy a novelty poncho from the shop! We fed elephants, goats and of course Kangaroos! we got a glimpse of Steve Irwin on his motorbike tearing through the park but that was all we saw of him, still somethings better then nothing! Had a cracking day watching crocs, tigers and snakes being played with by some nutcase people.
Then the real fun started! a greyhound ride to Hervey Bay and we set off on our self drive safari on Fraser Island and i think the pictures speak for themselves. By far the best fun weve had in Australia, going through the forest on ridiculous terrain, there was ten people in our 4x4 including a german, some canadians, two norweigan girls one of whom is absolutly stunning and a mad scottish fella.
The lakes and the views on this island are beyond belief, we saw sharks, mantarays and turtles and many other awesome creatures. Had a top night parting with all the other people on our trip, the goon was flowing and there wasnt a sober person in the camp. Memories for life, everyone was very sad to come back to reality but we had to move on!
Yet another coach ride, this one being 14 hours! and we were in Airlie beach which brings us pretty much upto date!
We got off the sailing trip yesterday and apart from the rocky seas it was fantastic! Snorkelling and Scuba diving the Great barrier reef just off the Whitsunday Islands was somethiong else! Its like another world down there as you swim with the very tame fish amongst the coral. Sadly no one found Nemo but the shovel nosed ray and a massive fish called Elvis more than made up for it. Another heavy drinking session on the boat as we sang along to U2 and had gorgeous food served by Kylies ex chef! Another brilliant trip and pretty much signals the end of our trip in Australia :( we still have Cairns and Magnetic Island before we head off to New Zealand on the 20th.
Well i think i have ran out of things to say, we promise to update more regularly in the future.
I bid you farewell untill next time, im off in search of a paracetemol and a strong coffee.
Stay Classy guys love James, Ali, Sam and Adam xxxxx
