World Tour 06
Hello boys and girls
Bondi beach was awesome! The sand and the sea were beautiful and so were the ladies that were on it! loads of travellers and locals all around our age were here, its definetly the place to be.
The waves were huge and everyone who didnt have a surfboard tried to surf them themselves, and trust me it works! after a little lesson by some dude in the sea with us and we were rocketing across the bay on top of a wave! its pretty scary when the "rip" gets hold of you, theres nout you can do but keep your head up.
We all made it back in one piece, if a little bruised and knackered, and headed back to base for an italian with Robert and Lynette. Food is great where ever you go here, and the have B.Y.O which stands for Bring Your Own Alcohol! great idea if your on a budget like us.
That night we walked to darling harbour for a few beers, we met some funny characters that night. Sam met a chinese guy claiming he was from Compton and the only black guy in the bar! James noticed a girl from the flight in from Singapore and got chatting. good night had by all but didnt realise the time and got in at 5am!
On Saturday "morning" we went with Robert and Lynette to Manly beach via ferry to the other side of Sydney harbour, the water here is infested with bluebottle jellyfish which pack a punch if they sting you, only Ali and James went in the water and were pretty lucky as everyone around us on the beach was getting stung!
Had some local fish and chips for tea which was delicious, Robert and Lynette were going out that evening so now was our chance to sample Sydney night life!
Checked out Blackbird Cafe, whilst we were ordering all the gay bar staff jumped on the counter and started stripping! needless to say we didnt spend long here and went in search of some clubbing.
Found a place on friday night which was ok so decided to go here again, the unisex toilet is the worst idea i have ever seen, how long do you girls need in there?!
Another top night, Sydney is a great place to go out, everyone seems to be very young here and there are plenty of bars and clubs to go to.
Sunday morning we went to the fish market for a seafood platter and some lobster, we were all very hungry but still couldnt eat a meal for 4, portions were more than generous!
Had a relaxed evening as the heavens opened and it chucked it down for hours, so a dvd and some popcorn went down nicely.
Check the photos weve uploaded.
Monday we plan to buy a train ticket south to Canberra and Melbourne and meet up with Caz, Alis friend from Work, who is on a cruise liner in the harbour.
Speak again soon
