Well Rio was a fantastic way to start our trip and one of the best ways to shock the system in to south america!!! Details to follow!
The guesthouse view just got better and better with the weather and we will add some photos asap.......Visited sugar loaf, the botanical gardens and christ the redeemer and had a strole down copacabana......trying to fit in with the ¨carioca¨!! I thing the funniest and craziest things happened to us on our last day.....the first was seeing a man of about 70 yrs old doing chin-ups on a beach side bar in a pair of speedos....nice.....followed by the evening shootout in the favela across from the guesthouse. It pretty much could only happen in Rio!!!!
Anyway we have now moved on and flew down to Foz du Iguasu, the home of the most insane waterfall(s) on the planet, the photos won't ever do it justice but we made every effort to shoot every inch of it from the Brazilian side today!!!!
Off to the Argentine side tomorrow and hopefully we will get an up close inspection....AWESOME!! (our German hostel friends assure us this is the term for great in german!!!)
Food so far has been great, we had a bit of a meat fest last night at a Parreria (i think!) restaurant where everything is brought to your table and sliced from a kebab stick, except every waiter has different types of beef and they just keep coming!!
Oh and winter is roasting!!
Back soon folks

Karen Thank you for the Monday morning giggle... the 'speedos' will live on! ;-)
Pete Great update and feeling quite jealous - potty training here in the UK (Andrew not me) just isn't quite as much fun as you two seem to be having! Am now starting to think that these cannot really be your photos... Did you just download them from somewhere on the internet?!? Need to see you two in the next one!
Catherine & Tom Sounds amazing can't wait to see the waterfall pictures! And meat feast, oh yeah sounds brilliant!!!
