I am determined not to start this blog with "Well..."

So, here we are , arrived in Arequipa last night, but missed our trekking tour by several hours. Never mind we have rearranged and set out soon. Arequipa sits at 2300 meters and by tonight we will be back to 3600 meters before an early morning descent into ColcaCanyon. Really looking forward to seeing some green in the next few days, as the desert theme has been with us ever since we left Santiago...seems ages ago now.Not much top report, but I received a text joke the other week from a mate back in UK (Thanks Mr Stedman...I just read it!)...

Two ducks check into the hotel One duck says lets make love.

The other duck phones reception and asks if they could send up some condoms.

The hotel receptionist says "sure, shall I stick it on your bill?

The duck replies, "F**k off, I'll suffocate!"

Well, I thought it funny, but perhaps it was just the altitude! So we are off to trek for next few days, then a 10 hour overnight bus ride to Cusco and on to see Machu Pichu. Anni is now counting down the days before she flies out (8 to go...sniff), but we still have lots to see and do until that time.
