We took the bus from Chiang Kong to Chiang Mai, leaving at 6:30 in the morning. On the way there we stopped off to see the White Temple or the Wat Rong Khun in Chiang Rai; unfortunately, on May 5th, 2014 an earthquake hit that part of Thailand and it damaged a part of the temple. Thankfully, it didn't weaken the building structure, or the designer Chalermchai plans on fixing the part of the temple that was damaged. Our tour guide informed us that the government planned on providing funding to repair the temple; however, Chalermchai is wealthy and has told the government to focus on other areas that have been affected and he will use his own money to repair the temple.
The temple was impressive and had so much detail. Unfortunately, because of the earthquake visitors were no longer able to go inside the temple. But there was enough to look at on the outside, as there were demons and hands sprouting up from the ground.
After our walk about around the temple, we hopped back on the bus and headed to Chiang Mai; the bus ride took a total of 4 hours. Once we arrived, 5 of us decided to go to the Tiger Kingdom to get a chance to go into the cage with a tiger. On the way to the Kindgom, we took a tuk tuk and we realized that there were three red buttons on the roof, all of which spread out across the top. We became curious and wondered what they were for and Mark ended up pressing the button repeatedly (about 5 times) until we realized that each time the button was pressed, the horn in the tuk tuk was going off. Then the tuk tuk pulled over to the side and the driver's wife got out and came around to the back to make sure everything was ok. We felt bad and appologized to her saying we didn't know and it was just a mistake. She headed back chuckling and we laughed at our stupidity.
Once at the Tiger Kingdom, you were able to see the sizes of the tigers and the corresponding pirces. The thought of going into a cage with a large adult tiger scared the crap out of me; especially, since you never know if they might turn on you and attack you. The tigers there have all been brought up by people since birth, and the tigers only have two hours each day to interact with people before they are switched with different tigers. I choose to visit the smallest tiger, which was around 4 months old. Rachel, Rhiannon, and Mark choose the largest tiger, and Laura choose to do both the smallest and largest. Rhiannon asked the ticket lady before we paid if anyone ever got injured and she said "yes, but no one has ever died." That didn't really calm their nerves since they were a bit worried about going into the cage with the adult tiger.
For the smallest tiger we went into a cage/pen and they were all trying to sleep. So we had a chance to cuddle with them and take photos. We then got to go into a second area that had even younger tigers, but they were also sleeping. One of the young tigers was playful and kept on jumping and biting the trainers. At one point the tiger came over to me and attacked my back and bit it but it didn't really hurt and the trainer pushed him away. But they were cute, still a little unnerving going into a cage with them though. But it was a neat experience and no one got seriously injured.
After the tigers, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. We walked to a market area to have dinner. I ordered chicken cashew and a drink and all of our food came out before our drinks, which made some of us question how fresh the food was. The dinner ended up being very bland and not good at all.
Once we were done dinner we had a chance to walk through another market before it was time to see the ladyboy show. The lady boy show started at 8 and was supposed to last until 10 but our tour guide told us we had to leave a bit earlier - around 9:30 pm. The show was well done and a lot of fun. It was a bunch of men that dressed up as ladies and sung and danced. The ladyboys would then go around to some of the men that were in the show and kiss them on the cheeks. At around 9, the show finished, but then they pulled up some men from the audience onto the stage. All of us girls pointed out Mark and told them to select him and take him up on stage. But he quickly ran back down to his seat shortly after being up there. Then anyone who wanted to was able to go up on stage, so all of us girls went up there and danced to PSY - Gangnam Style, then once the song was over we also got off the stage. It was a lot of fun.
Once the ladyboy show was done, it was time to head off for a full body massage. At this point it was around 10 pm and Rhiannon and I were pretty drunk. And to make it worse, we ended up being in the same room together for the massage so we were loud and talking for the majority of the time. We were also told that there would be free water for us, but we asked and they never gave us any. The massage itself was painful at times. After a while, we stopped talking and eventually I could hear Rhiannon's massage therapist talking to mine and giggling. At first I didn't know what it was about but I quickly found out that it was because Rhiannon passed out during the massage and started to snore. When she woke up and the therapists left the room I told her that she did in fact pass out and started snoring; she burst into laughter and laughed so hard that she started to cry.
At around 12 am, we headed back to our hotel and went to sleep. It was a long day but it was filled with a lot of entertainment.

Tony the Tiger I'm glad you had fun with my family. Maybe you can send that PSY fellow to meet my family. I would like to have a few words with him.
