Hello again
The last few days in Broome were fantastic with lots of time out on the beach enjoying this awesome place. We hired two sun recliners set up under a large beach umbrella for a few hours in very warm conditions and just chilled out enjoying people watching where it could be very easy to just fall asleep. After heading back to camp we decided to take a shower. Our usual shower rooms were being cleaned so we had to go to another block. Stephanie was brushing her hair in the shower room mirror when she turned around and beside her was a friend we camped with twice and stayed at their farm with them last year. We had been talking about getting in touch with them but with all the trouble we had with our phones we hadn't yet got round to it. What a small world we are all still amazed. If we had gone to our usual showers we would not have met and when we got in touch would have realised we were there at the same time and this is the park with over 500 sites. Unbelievable !
We quickly invited them both back at happy hour to our camp site where we had a great night reminiscing and chatting about this years travels and I cooked up a good feed of Red Emperor fish that I caught at Coral Bay. Next morning after wishing our friends safe travels it was unfortunately time to move on from this tropical paradise and hit the road for a few nights freedom camping as we head further north. The weather up here seems to be just the same as we remembered it last year, clear blue skies, warm winds and over 30 deg. every day. The scenery keeps changing slightly although always hot, dry and barren but we are always amazed at the size of this wide open never ending wilderness. The plan is to stack up the k/m's and to enjoy the scenery to the next bush camp at Lake Ellendale.
