Hi Everyone,
We woke to another misty morning again quite cool but pleasant.
We left The York House hotel by 9.30am and Sally helped us to navigate the morning traffic out of York. We headed east towards the coast to Hornsea, the sky was still cloudy so the ocean didn't look as pretty as it could, the air was fresh as we walked along the sea front, beach is partly grey sand and pepples.
We next headed further south to Withernsea where we again got out to walk around the little seaside town. The unusual thing about this town is the lighthouse being in the middle of town, not used now, only as a museum, that is too early in the season to be open, The sea front area is much prettier than Hornsea and has a castle like building at the top of steps leading down to the beach and it was a lot sandier too.
Time to head for Birmingham and John and Maris' house we are staying for the next few days. Sally got a little confused which St Peters Close we wanted and we learnt a valuable lesson have the whole post code!!
We soon found our way and had a lovely evening with John and Maris with Colin popping in too.
Chat again soon.
