Another beautiful sunny morning and we both feel well rested after our early night.
Breakfast at the hotel was good, large area, plenty of choices and food and friendly helpful staff.
We had decided to get the washing done the lazy way, dropping it off and collecting later all clean dry and folded, it was only going to cost 4 Euros extra and not worth the waste of our valuable sightseeing time.
We bought a day ticket for 20 euros each, on the canal bus hop on and off tour. There are 3 different routes a Red, Green and Orange that you can go on, around the many canals that Amsterdam is built around. It's very pleasant sitting on the boat listening to the commentary in the sunshine. Just what we needed today some slow down time while still seeing the sights.
We did the Green route first enjoying the scenery, we didn't get off until we had completed the whole circuit by which time we were ready for lunch. We next did a complete circuit on the Red route, again enjoying the sunshine, architecture and style of the city. We came to the dock area and were most excited to see our actual boat we join tomorrow for the Rhine Cruise already in dock waiting for us.
Both still tired we collected our clean laundry and returned to our hotel for a rest before dinner tonight.
We found a Mexican restaurant for dinner and had their special on offer only 25 euros 80 cents for both of us, food was good amiable staff, what more coukd you want.
We caught a tram to Dam Square again hoping to walk to the red light district, but we couldn't find it, both feeling tired returned to the hotel to sink into bed after another lovely day.
The above picture is of the Rijks Museum next to our hotel.
