We only had one day in Paris because it was so expensive, so we CRAMMED everything big in that we could. We started out at the Eiffel tower, which is BIG (where Will had his flip flop mishap). Then we went to the Arc de Triomphe, walked down the Champs Elysees and bought new flip flops =o). Then we went to the Cathedral of Notre Dame, you wouldn't believe the intricacy of that place, walked through the outside of the Louvre to the Jardin of Tulieries, to Place de la Concorde, where Marie Antoinette (as well as 1300+ other people) were guillotined in the period of 2 years. We then walked to Deidre's favorite bridge in the world, the Alexander III bridge, and toured the Louvre and saw their important well known pieces. We also saw the Mona Lisa, but you're not allowed to take pictures of her, and there are guards EVERYWHERE in that room. The Louvre was great, but us not being museum lovers, we saw what we wanted to and were in and out in 45 minutes flat. You might be able to say we're uncultured, but no one can say we're not efficient! Finally, we sat and watched the sun set from the Pont Des Arts, which was STUNNING!!! Again, we went back to our hostel and CRASHED. I don't think either of us have ever slept as well as we have on this trip. Jet lag?? Bah! We don't have time for Jet lag!!!
