hello again
we have just returned from our sailing trip to the whitsunday islands which was amazing!
we went on a boat called the sv whitehaven we sailed from ailie beach to an island called langford where we went for a snorkle the whole of the islands group are part of the in the great barrier reef marine park so the coral and the fish and stuff is just absolutly amazing! there was coral and fish of all shapes and colours the pis i took didnt really do it justice!
from there we sailed in some pure turqouise waters before we hit the rain and it lashed it down untill we reached tounge bay on whitsunday island where we slept that night the water was so calm even during the rain and stuff you could hardly notice you were on the water!
next day we went over to the shore on whitsunday island and walked out to a look out over a place called hill inlet where whitehaven beach is. then we spent the morning on whitehaven beach which is rated one of the top 10 beaches in the world!
we went and did some more snorkling in the afternoon where the fish were even more impressive including a hump headed maourie wrasse which was about 1.5 meters big and very tame! we spent that night in another bay called caves cove then in the morning got up snokled again and headed back to mainland after breakfast all in all very enjoyable even meece didnt get sea sick it was that calm and she loved the snorkling too!
we are back at airlie beach now and we leave for magnetic island tomorrow where im doing and open water scuba dive course which should be wicked hopefully get some more cool underwater pics!
speak again soon craig!
