Beijing Day 2!

Today we went to the Silk Market. We tried to walk there from the hostel but Beijing is VERY big and crossing the road at the intersections is just bloody chaos! Caught the subway which was pretty high tech and easy to use. Touch screen ticket machines are pretty good and the beep the ticket makes at the gate is better than in England. Also you have to pass through security in every station. Scary!

Bought beautiful wooden painted fans because it is so hot and elle got a fake North Face travel pack because hers broke. Angry email to follow. I tried to buy a digital camera but the vendors were reluctant to budge much on price so i ended up buying a "Sony" DV camera with 4GB memory card for about 60 quid! bargain!

Elle got a pretty cool bright green Adidas rain coat but it was hard to find one to fit over her fat head.

Also purchased some sexy silk trousers and "Louis Vuitton" iPhone cases!!

Had an interesting dinner at a traditional chinese resteraunt...see video.

Pretty exhausted and feet hurting from new flipflops.
