Yay, we're using our netbook to write this (at last!). Arrived in Jaipur at 2.30pm after another long (about 4 hours) but interesting drive. Checked into the Sumer Guest House which our driver (who's actually called Mahabir, not Mohammed!!!) recommended to us. It was away from the main Bazaars so was nice and quiet, and had a nice little garden to the front and our own little table and chairs outside our room door. We bartered again and got the room for 350rps instead of 500rps! Since leaving Delhi the rooms have all been of a very similar standard - basic but clean and bright with a hot shower, which is all we need! We had some lunch (mixed vegetables with chapati's) and our driver took us to some factories where was saw how proper Indian carpets are made - it takes 8 months to make 1 rug!!! The drivers make commission if they take tourists to the factories and they buy something, so he tried to take us to quite a few after that but we said no! After that we got him to drop us back at the room and we went out for a wonder to try to find an internet cafe, but after about and hour walking around we had no luck, so had to us the internet at the Hotel next door to our guest house which was expensive (100rps per hour, it's only usually 20rps per hour!). After that just went back to the room, had a shower, got into our glow worms (aka our sleeping bag liners!), and watched The Fast and the Furious 4 on the netbook, which Rich had downloaded from home! Got a bit of a lie in tomorrow before a long day of sight seeing!
