well.... i'm sitting now in Bratislava after a long day of travelling yesterday. Left Cesky Krumlov in the morning about 9, caught a bus to the nearest main train station in a place called Ceske Budejovice. Bought my ticket to Bratislava, and waited for my train that would take me to the eastern side of the Czech Republic. Got my train to the place, called Brno, and waited for my connection to Bratislava. It's only 1 and a half hours from Brno to Bratislava, and I got on that train at about 6:30 last night. Everything was going fine, untill we got to the Czech/Slovak border, got passport checked, everything was cool. For some reason there was some sort of delay, and the train sat at the border for 3 hours. I just waited, still not sure what was wrong, and couldn't find out, as english doesn't really enter the equation.
I finally arrived here about 11:30 last night, b*****ed, and a bit unsure of finding my hostel in this place at night. But it was fine, heaps of people out pubbing or clubbing, I found the hostel (which is the only one in town) and got my bed which I had emailed ahead to reserve. I'm in an 8 bed dorm, with a French family of 6. Interesting. Anyway, Bratislava seems pretty cool, laid back and friendly for a capital city. I'm going to head north east tomorrow, towards the Tatra mountains. From there I can cross into Poland and probably Krakow. It's only about and hour and a half from the place. Apparently a really nice national park area. I have a loose itinery in my head for the month before I meet Mario in Athens, only time will tell exactly what I'll do. so I'll go have a look at the Danube, and a few other things, check the price of going to Vienna down the river. Apparently it's about 20-25 euros.
I'm off, hope everyone is going ok. Send me some emails/msgs with the goss!!
