Hi peeps, t'internet ain't working in the hostel at the mo so having to use super slow one down the road. Still in Airlie Beach and don't really want to leave, it's so nice here and spent the days hanging out with my new buddies in the pool, in town and around the hostel. I'm sharing a room with an absolute sweetie of an aussie girl (only 20 or something) who gets excited about the smallest things (I bought her some philadelphia cheese the other day and she said she loved me!?). The guys made tonnes of pancakes last night for everyone in the hostel so we're all feeling really sick today. Gotta sort myself out soon as my flight back to Sydney is on 16th so need to get to Cairns before then (trying to find someone to give me a lift up there as my bus ticket's run out now - doh). Will get some more piccies and stuff on the site when the hostel comp. is back up and running again. Gonna go now but before I do, what were all those weird messages about from "Jose" and the one about the car??? I got rid of them...couldn't be bothered with it. P.S. Jay - I did get your messages eventually but they all arrived at once about a day late....the reception in the hostel is crap....thanks anyway babe and love you too xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

wotcha babe...just a quickie as i fit a quick sarnie in between meetings...i've been updating you on footy scores, you're always first on my list (most often, the only one on my list for this), so don't know what's up...went to the game with dad on saturday. it was well frustrating cos we had quite a few chances & didn't take them, bolt-on had few but finished properly. it was midfield where the difference really showed though: we just look like skinny little kids playing against blokeswe're sooooo lightweight. with the exception of "triple hard" hughes, obviously. oh well.... liked the pic of you & the baby croc, but why have you got "poxy" written on your hat? love you lots & lots j.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Sooze . . .Soo . . .Sou . . . Sue ?? . . . Dougie and Cynthia's daughter . . . . Have read and enjoyed your travelling experiences to date. They continuously remind us of self same experiences and never wanting it to stop.
Just a simple question but . . . whats this "palace" keep on cropping up in the messages? . . . . I didn't think that the Brassetts were into the Royal family . . . . the mind boggles.
Looking forward to seeing you when you return to Sydney. Also you too 'Cynth. and Anje'.
Make a "window" - (I hate that) for us to meet up and we'll take it from there - possibly meeting at the cafe first.
For the time being soak up those experiences of a lifetime that most of us just talk about.
See ya soon . . . . XX

Yipee about the apartment.....Leigh will be pleased as he's moving a couple of days after I get back so at least I'll be out of his hair for a bit longer. Went to the docs yesterday and I have glue ear....apparently it's quite common in children so the doc (excentric Irish guy) was talking to me like a kiddie and offered me a lolly. Won't be able to carry out my dive course but gonna try another dive again before I leave Cairns. Loving it so much here I've still not left....noone wants me to leave apparently (they think it's qutie novel me being 33). Now that I can't do my dive course might stay a bit longer here. Right I'm off to get ready and go to the bushman zoo (if I can cope with the heat - I'm sure it's getting hotter). Byeeeeee xxxxxxxxxx

Hola, mi chica. Ha ha, Mater was almost spot on with the lyrics quiz. What was Colin on about?! I'll say no more until someone comes up with the correct title. And, I'm mega excited about our impending trip and the super apartment I've booked for us. Maybe we could have some Spring-break style parties there where we invite a load of cool people back to our place after we've taken mama out all night; we could get her jacked up on some cheap Champagne and let the good times all roll out. The more discerning readers amongst you will have spotted some more lyrics there but there are no prizes for these ones. The Whitsunday islands trek sounded great. Well done for trying the scuba diving. I'm sure you'll be fine when you get to Cairns. And it's good to know that part of the Croydon posse has pitched up to keep you sane. This reminds me of when my mate, Croydon Sue, and I were blagging our way into some basement clubs in Cusco and then dancing like mentalists (it's OK - as a psychologist and psychotherapist I am allowed to use that word), giving it large in a Croydon stylee and being copied by all these young, leathery Inca descendents. I can't remember if this was before or after the coca-leaf chewing competition.... Alora, I've some exciting research to get back to so I'll bid you adieu. Ciao bella, Anje xxx (Do you like the multilingual flavour of this message? Truly fitting for a traveller's website, don' you think?)
