Have spent most of the past week eating out!!
Thursday 15th Nov we went out for supper at The Wheatsheaf, in Oaksey with Viv, Mike, Grandma, Grandpa, Charlie and Christobelle.
On Friday I met Possum, Laura, Julie and Karen for lunch at Graze.
On Saturday we went for supper at Angie and David's with Toby, Cherie, Lizie and Ian. David had had keyhole surgery on his knee earlier in the week, we didn't know this until half way through the evening, but he was very busy all evening clearing plates and filling glasses, poor thing.
On Sunday I went to Chloe's baby shower at The Queens Hotel, Cheltenham. We had a lovely tea, sandwiches, cakes, scones, etc and played games, baby bingo, scratch cards etc.
On Monday 19th I went walking with Possum and Liz and ended up having lunch in The Bathurst. Saw Chunk's puppies, they are very sweet little hair balls.
On Tuesday Ollie took his driving test and passed, very pleased with himself, came home, sorted out his insurance and went straight back out to see Connie.
On Wednesday it was Karen's birthday, on Friday it was Helen's birthday and on Sunday it was Chloe's birthday.
On Thursday it was Parent's evening at college. All looks a bit more positive this year I think, fingers crossed!!
On Saturday George took Grandpa to Twickenham to watch England play South Africa. It was a horribly wet day with weather warnings everywhere and Grandpa was worried about going so he packed tow ropes, rugs and flasks for the journey. Think it rained all day but they got up and back safely.
Dad and I went to watch Glos play Sharks (Glos won) and in the evening we went to the cinema to watch Gambit. Not bad, bit corny, bit funny easy watching. Bought a small popcorn and a bag of sweets - £6.40 ! Bit more expensive than Singapore!
Ollie drive to Connie's for the night.
On Sunday Ollie's football was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch, so we had a nice roast lunch and as it was a nice afternoon (for a change) Magic and I went for a walk to Ashton Keynes. The fields are like lakes, and you can't walk round them anymore! Mowles came over in the afternoon and stayed for the evening. Made him watch Strictly and I'm a Celebrity, he very politely sat through them. George has asked him to come skiing with us in Feb, think he is tempted.
Went to my stretch class today and the instructor didn't make it because of the floods, so another lady made up the exercises as she went along and we followed her.
Grandma/pa have sold Mardon and think people are actually moving in this week. Auntie Jean has a cash buyer who wants to be in by the end of next week, so they are all working like mad to get that pushed through. Think they are going to stay with Julie for a week and get flat straight before they move in, aunt is very excited about moving now, so hope it all goes through ok.
Better go now and get some tea, Sunday lunch left overs - Ollie's favourite!!
