Today I planned to do the Sightseeing tour.I had booked a pickup at the hotel for 08h30, and was rearing to go.The tour revisited Venice Beach & Santa Monica, which was very interesting along with the tour guides commentary and out of the way sights. It was also interesting to see how much quieter Venice Beach is on a week day!!!We then drove downtown where we stopped at Olivera Street. This is a quaint street in town that is like a Mexican village with traditional restaurants and stalls. The smell of Mexican food is really awesome. No time to stop and eat lunch though, as the tour bus was waiting.Next stop was downtown Hollywood where we went past Hollywood High School where the movie Grease was filmed and the famous running track park where they sing the first song - Summer Loving!!!And we even saw kids running around in the same red & white gym gear!!From there we stopped at the Kodak Theatre where the Oscars are held and on the pavement infront of the Kodak theatre is where the "Walk of Fame" is and I photographed dozens of famous stars.Outside the Grauman's Chinese Theatre, where the Oscars used to be held, are all the cement hand and footprints of celebrities.
Our next destination was the Hollywood sign and the great views of LA from the hills. From there we went on our tour of Movie star homes through Beverley Hills & Mulholland Drive.Very impressive!!
I finally got back to my hotel at 8pm that night and was exhausted!!Got to bed around 11pm after another great day!!
