Today is our forth day at sea and we are keen to meet terra ferma. Excitement grows as we look forward to a day in Darwin where we can see giant termite mounds and drink with real Aussies. If we are lucky we might get to see some salt water crocodiles, but not too close.
The day started with me attending bridge class and really enjoying it. I think I've found a new passion. Meanwhile wendy went to a lecture about the brinks matt robbery. A lecture given by some old retired DS called Ian Brown, not heard of him myself but just in case any of the lads have heard. He is probably the sort of bloke that once read about the job and is now making a living out of it. Wendy thinks I should join the circuit make up a few stories and we could cruise for free, you only need repertoire of about five stories and you have made it. 45 minutes work a day not too shabby for a free holiday.
We both went down the gym again today that is every day since we boarded. Not a bad start, and in this company we actually feel quite ripped. As I write this I can hear Laura and Kingy laughing, don't mock you'll be older one day and clinging onto any strand of youth.
The ship spent the day cruising across Carpenteria bay not a lot to see as we were out if sight of land most of the day but we did see plenty of box jelly fish and that was enough to remind me not to go for a dip in Darwin, those blighters can be fatal.
Tonight was a full dinner suit evening. By the time we get dressed up me and Wendy look Quite the part. Andy your waistcoat got an outing and looked pretty smart thanks. Also Debs I have nearly Finished your book a million
Little pieces very moving and gritty.
The great drugs update: today the captain Gave us the now daily speech about assisting the local authorities with their enquiries, that means that there are more cabin searches underway. Now the Internet has gone down and there is now phone system access. Rumour is that the Australian customs have done this as they don't want the drug dealers arranging collection of drugs at Darwin. So we are incommunicado at the moment. It's getting more and more like Miami Vice every day here even the suits are getting snappy.
A couple of pointers if any of you read his blog then please let us know what bits are good and what is dull - or at least more dull that the rest. Then I can adapt it. Also be sure to leave us messages as this encourages us to keep writing. All feedback is welcome. Bye for now.

Barbara Thomas Really love the blogs I could be on the boat (whoops)ship with you both. You both look very dapper in your posh gear. Have a lovely time ashore, that was a good long time at sea it does give you a bit of time to relax. What was that going to the gym good on you. Take care & enjoy. xx
Viv Ross Viv I am catching up today and have been reading the blogs from feb 17th. Really loving them and finding the drugs saga very very funny (apart from not being able to get off at the Barier reef ofcause ). I think the change of name for the ship, "the Bounty" is very fitting. The dancing sounds a lot of fun even if you have two left feet. Keep the blogs going they brighten my day.
