Today is a sea day, after three days on the spin in port it is welcome. We now have two days rest before we arrive at Sri Lanka. Damage report from last nights excess: Wendy has a sore hip from too much hip-hop and I'm feeling a little fragile from too much alcohol. So a reserved day by the pool is the order of the day.
Bridge lesson first thing (over calling for those interested) followed by a couple of hours by the pool. The sea has a slight swell so although it looks smooth the ship sort of gently rolls back and forth making staying awake an issue. Nearly all the Aussies have left the ship now but there is a lot more younger passengers on board.
The captain has announced a full anti pirate drill for tomorrow including Royal Navy officers and armed guards so it's really ramping up the security now.
Yesterday we received a message from Andrea asking when we were in Sri Lanka - we answered so await a reply and the opportunity to meet her in her home!
Weather update: today has seen the first signs of any meaningful swell the captain described it as wavelets. To me the sea looks calm but there are very long but quite deep waves. The result is the ship is pitching a fair bit now . Not enough for discomfort but enough for you to fall from one side of the shower to the other when you are in it or to bump from one wall to the other in the corridors. We have been invited for a drink with the captain tonight, I'll try not to disgrace myself with the free drinks. By now Velda and mike will be back in the bush you missed a rave last night and karaoke tonight but hey not quite the same without you two.
