Yesterday Sunday 26th August we drove from Gallup New Mexico to Amarillo, we had a walk around Albuquerque as we looked for the hard rock café for Bethan to pick up a glass for her collection only to find it was 14 miles out of town, so we drove there so that she could get one expecting that they would have a hard rock café where we could stop for lunch but in the hard rock hotel they don't have one!!! Today we had breakfast at the hotel and then hit route 66 aiming for Albuquerque, as that was prob the furthest we could drive in a day, we drove through the town of Williams, Flagstaff, saw the twin arrows trading post which was just two arrows in the ground and a deserted building. So today we left for the grand Canon via the Hoover Dam, I was shattered this morning and did not want to wake up but when I eventually did I packed up my stuff and waited for the others to phone to say they were ready to go.
