So thanks to Chris having a seizure yesterday we all got free tickets for Disney today, we woke up around 7 and got ready and while Chris and Darren slept the rest of us went for breakfast, on return they had both surfaced and we decided because of the blisters on everyone but mine and Chris' we would take the car down to Disney.
My chair went into the boot for the first time as there were no cases in there and we headed out to hopefully have an accident free day at Disney and one that we would all enjoy a lot more this time round. We left telling Chris he was not to leave our sight and wasn't aloud to leave the park unless it was with us. When we got to the car park we were directed around the shuttle bus queue and put on our own private shuttle bus into Disney just because I was a wheelchair user.
We then went to city hall as we were told there would be something waiting for us- we explained what had happened and how David had checked first aid yet no-one there knew Chris had been taken to hospital they apologized and were going to follow it up to find out what had happened, and gave us 3 fast pass tickets that we could use at any point on 2 rides of our choice and a toy story ride as Chris wasn't going to be going on the 2 rides we chose (nor did he go on the toy story one mind but the woman thought he might try that one)
We then hit the rides starting with space mountain and some of the big rides in Disney land park before leaving for down town Disney at lunch time where we visited the espn bar and restaurant for lunch which was real American size portions (HUGE) and Darren was the only one to finish his massive portion we have decided that he is most defiantly the American out of the group as he has been finishing off bit from other peoples plate most of this holiday too. We are slightly worried about when we get home because we think him and Gethin may have an eating compertion and eat us all out of house and home!
After we had eaten and gone for an ice-cream to cool us down we headed into California Adventures and headed for fast tracks for Sorin' over California which Mam had managed to convince Chris that it would be a ride he would enjoy- we then headed for other rides while we waited for our fast track time, we went on the massive rollercoaster that goes upside-down and me, mam and David went on the toy story shooting game which was in 3D I loved it, although David wasn't as keen as it span around quite a bit. We avoided the crazy freest wheel as non of us fancied seeing our dinner again on the crazy S shaped loop that the car is linked to.
We all headed over to Sorin' for the first ride we were all going on to of the day- bearing in mind Chirs had already been blaming Mam for the trip he had to hospital yesterday because she lied to him about the drops in Pirates of the Caribbean ride- even though one kid who came off the ride was still fast asleep it was the ride that must have caused it- as the medic's couldn't find anything that could have caused it. In the waiting area it warns people who are afraid of heights that they may want to sit out this flight. He had already been told that the ride made you feel like you were flying however as soon as he heard the warning he was on to Mam about how he couldn't ever trust her again and that if he ended up in hospital again it would be her fault. The ride is amazing as it lifts you off the ground (our row went the highest which Chris wasn't happy about) and takes you forward to this massive screen, which you are immerse in and are taken on a journey over different views of California.
After the ride we collected fast past tickets to the water rapid ride called Grizzly Bear Run, it had been shut when we went passed it earlier in the day and had only just re-opened while waiting for our entry time for that ride we went to terror tower which David described as the real twig light zone as it reminded him of work, the four of us loved it after we headed back into car's land as there was a ride in there we didn't do yesterday because it was just too busy in car's land itself but we decided as it was getting later many of the very little children would not be going on the rides- we got there and the wait was 100 mins for the ride, so we all decided to enter as single riders so that we went through quicker- it was an absolutely amazing ride and I could understand why the wait for it was so long- you were sat in a car which held 6 people 3 in the front and 3 in the back- it started of slowly driving through scenery like when Lightning McQueen and Sally 'take a drive', you then enter the outskirts of radiator springs by night and get told to slow down by the sheriff, and to follow mater who takes you tractor tipping, and then see flo and sally welcoming you into radiator springs and see the other cars at the Gas station, drive through the body shop and get a new coat of paint and then see Doc Hudson, pit stop and Luigi who start you off with another car for a race- where you raise through more of Radiator springs scenery before finishing and being brought back in to unload from the car. It was fantastic, I was sat next to a little boy who loved it and kept saying 'mummy am I dreaming, pinch me I want to know its real, im actually in the real radiator springs!!' Darren exited the ride with such a massive smile on his face there was no way he didn't love it as much as that little kid and I did.
After this we went to get soaked on the water ride- which was also amazing- it was in one of those ring rafts however you had to be strapped in to this one- and I could understand why as you were jolted around by the rapids- Darren and David got pretty soaked but me and Bethan got off lightly so much so that David kept asking if we could go around again- thankfully there was another wheelchair group waiting to go on otherwise I think they would have sent us around again. As we were already wet we decided now would be the best time to head over to the other park to go on splash mountain which we had missed the day before because of the hour long queue in the disabled area- but this time we walked straight up and jumped on- this time me and Bethan got soaked so Darren and David were happy- I had to take my t-shirt off and put on my hoodie because I had got so wet, and my shorts were still wet this morning!
After watching the fireworks we headed back although I cant remember heading back because last I remember was walking towards the exit on main street- I fell asleep in the chair, thankfully there were no missing people or hospital visits from our group today and we all had a great time.
