Howdy
We are currently sitting at Sydney airport waiting for our flight to London via Hong Kong. It is sad to be going to home but we've had a fantastic time.
Since the last update we have got Anna a new passport, been to Manly beach, been for a couple of runs around the botanical gardens by the Opera House, been to Luna Park, been to the cinema, BBQ-ed our own meat at Phillipe's Foote and (last night) climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge!!
The Bridge Climb was the real highlight, it was amazing.. I pretended to be nervous and scared of the height just to make Anna feel better. I really felt it when our climb guide told us it takes precisely 5.2 seconds to hit the water if you fall, just as we were standing at the summit! We did the last one of the day so saw the sun set over the city and then the place all lite up by the lights, it really was incredible but I was pleased to get back to the ground. Anna wasn't phased by the heights and she now reckons she's a Bond girl!
Afterwards we went for some authentic Aussie food at the Australian Hotel and sampled a few local beers - they had over 100 so didn't get through them all (you get your name on the wall if you do!). Then we went for cocktails at the Shangri-la Hotel on the 36 floor overlooking the harbour, a fitting way to end a brilliant honeymoon.
We'll upload some more photos when we get the chance. Looking forward to seeing you all and boring you with stories and photos.
Lots of love
