Good'ay mates
We are back where we started, back in Sydney and all checked in to the lovely Marriott Hotel that Steve and Charlotte so kindly booked us (thanks guys). The hotel is fab and the view from our room is amazing - right across Harbour Bridge. Kylie has been dropped back, we will miss her, she was a good sport. We were planning on going to the rugby league game at the Sydney football stadium this afternoon but didnt make it in time so we went to the market in the Rocks instead - lovely corn-on-the-cob!! Tonight we're going to a BBQ your own place that we love. Lots to try and fit in before we fly home on Wednesday.
Since our last update, we spent a lovely day on the beach at Byron Bay and then had fish for dinner with a bottle of champagne overlooking the sea. It was all great apart from the fact that I ignored my good sense, didnt put any suncream on and got a bit burnt, what a plonker! The next day we made the long journey south along the coast to Hunter's Valley - it is about 700km so took most of the day but the laughter, fun and games made the time pass quite quickly - that was me and Kylie, Anna was asleep :)
We booked into a guest house in the hills in Hunter's Valley, which was great although quite difficult to find. The next day we set off on a wine tasting tour of the region - our bus was us two and 18 Aussies on a weekend away for a 30th birthday. They were rowdy but great fun and even made us a love tunnel - check out the pictures. It was a brilliant day and we got through loads of lovely wine although I couldnt really taste much after the chillis snapps just before lunch! If only we had more space to bring bottles home. That evening we went to the local Rodeo with the Aussie couple staying at our guest house, which was great fun and a real taste of country life. I had rum and coke in a can, not nice. Then this morning we set off for Sydney.
Just three nights and two days left, better go make the most of it! We are hoping to do the Bridge Climb if possible.
Love from Mr and Mrs Webb xx
