Den on the loose
OZ Day Five Woke up to find Mark was no where to be seen in the room, after tracking him down he informed me that he had slept in the car. Because during the night two little critters most likely rats found themselves in our room and one of them was scratching away at his bag while the other one scurried towards him. Tim and i were oblivious to this due to last nights intake of liquid so were just passed out on our beds. In the morning i drove us down to Port Douglas and on the way down i unfortunately hit a small bird that was too slow in escaping and consequently hit my windscreen, so in remembrance to that bird i dedicate this journal entry to you. Port Douglas is a very small coastal town and very clean, we stayed here till after lunch where we then headed back to Cairns and booked our boat trip out on the Great Barrier Reef. Tim and Mark had decided to camp in a tent for the next 2 night's and i didn;t really want to be so far out from the town so i went and stayed in the YHA. For dinner i joined the guys at their campsite and we had spag bol and red wine, after dinner Mark drove me back to my hostel and decided to stick a little longer and watch the film 'Life of the Aquatics'
