Also - watch out for that large Tropical Storm that's about to slam into Southern Mexico. The arms look like they may hit where you are.

Glad to hear they've got ruins for you. It was a different experience being in the UK this summer with someone who was not quite as interested in beseiging castles with me. "Looks like someboday already took care of that Jill." Drat.

Alive AND well! Bonus! How much longer in the language course, Senorita?
Mom

(RE Sept 5th Posting):
That was the funniest thing I've read in a while. Thank you.
And PS - still very proud of you.

I hope you know I'm going to hold you to that fair trade coffee oath. Sounds pretty great finding out how the other half lives. It'll be some morning in the QFC back in Seattle when you'll see Dole organic bananas and remember the tricks of economic language and a woman witha machete and ants and that it's often not possible to anticipate just how your trip has affected your mind and outlook. We have grown too distant from growing food and women with machetes. Good for you.

I clearly, am a bad friend. This is my first posting. I love all the pictures! And your journal entries are very informative. Keep up the good work. amanda

Man, you are up to your eyeballs in Guerrillas, very cool. Take a gander at ''Blood of Guatemala'' when you get back, it's on that very topic. Hope your leg feels better!

Love hearing about your adventures! If you can, try to find out more about the fair trade shop in Richmond, like an address perhaps. I'll go and tell you all about it.
Chris
The Guerrilla talks and coffee plantation sound terrific. Just make sure there are no Gorillas. har-har. Right, I will keep my day job. Oh, and have you tried cutting and pasting the ? marks? Or, if your keyboard is like this one it may be shift and the button to the left of zero. Can't wait to hear how the trip goes!
