Thanks everyone for posting and sending me messages. I appreciate it!

Way to go, Miss T - What a great trip you've undertaken! Remember that trips with challenges make for the best memories - and the best stories - so you are well on way to having a lifetime of things to tell us about over mucha cerveza. Stay safe but not sheltered, take fewer pictures of buildings and more of people (especially yourself, although stunning sweedes are acceptable), and keep us updated for the remaining time.
By the way, I wrote this in fluent Spanish, but didn't want to make you feel bad if you didn't understand all of it, so translated it back to English (Latin first, just to keep challenged). Staying thoughtful as always.
Enjoy!
Bill
PS - just in case - mucha cerveza means "lots of beer".

Watch out on those narrow sidewalks. I'd hate for your head to pop.

I feel like I should post in Guate keyboard speak... so#ething like th/s? Enough of that. Your pictures look great! (Even if you do have to tilt your head sideways... ;) ) Did I mention I had a dog that looked identical to that one? "Talk" (in the internet sense, at least) to you soon!

Hey TFriz, Man your Espanol is gong to be so buff when you get home. Maybe we can go to a Mexican restaurant and you can order tacos for us. I'm glad to hear that you moved and are happy with that decision. The culture shock sounds pretty intense. More difficult than Germnay anyway. So you win the "You're a better [man] than I Gunga Din" award for travel outside of your comfort zone. Good luck. By the way, how do you say sandwich in Spanish?
Sarah
Hey Teresa--I'm glad to hear that you've arrived safely! As far as the Spanish lessons go, my advice is to not mix up the words for "to comb" and well....a certain male body part. I accidentally did that in seventh grade spanish and you can imagine how well that went over.... I'm looking forward to reading more about your adventures while I'm heading out to Syracuse with two royally ticked off cats in the car. Take lots of pictures. Cheers, Sarah

I have to say that I am surprised that you moved in with an American girl. But it sounds like a better situation. Also sounds like you are having a good time! Just FYI Ella wants to invite you to her birthday party. You should be honored, it's just you, mom and dad and Gram. Too bad you can't make it!
Ella is looking forward to her Spainish lessons from you!
Have fun!!!!!!
Chris
Glad to hear you are in a more comfortable space now, I'm sure sleep will help with the Spanish as well! Have fun at the beach! (Sunscreen!, don't forget the sunscreen!)
