Made it back to Moscow on the quick 4hour train, but this time it's just Daylah, James Olga and myself. We settled into the apartment so well... Olga had spent alot of time making us a chicken curry. You can't get Indian food over here so this was something we had been craving. The food coming out of this kitchen, no matter what meal has been amazing. We had a Russian night which was fantastic with so many Russian treats. To help out and to share it around, I made Sarah's risotto with a few variations and balsamic roaster tomatoes and potatoes. Tonight is garlic bread and lasagna, which is our last night before Sweden. I'll upload some photos tonight as James and Olga have been taking us to see the best of it all, and now I have to say Moscow is a great, really fun place. To name a few we have seen army planes, boats, trains and tanks from the wars from all nationalities and even remains of shot down planes and destroyed german tanks. Cafes, a English cinema, smoking hooka's and making plasticine in a Didu bar, all the streets and the city at night. One of the highlights has to be ice skating gorki park, who was a famous Russian writer. The paths in the park were covered in ice and it was 18000 square meters in size. So much fun, even with a skate in pizza and beer place!! Also the messed up the tickets and it cost us nothing after we got the deposit back. It's called winning.
Another highlight would have to be the metro, the stations are so elegant and grand. We have been renaming them to what they look like. I'm actually on the train now to see the station that won the world fair prize in NYC in 1930 ish (lonely planet). If planned earlier, it would have been complete by seeing a game of ice hockey and a show. I tried in St Petersburg but forgot when we got to Moscow. Only $9 for a ticket and we missed it (not sure where it could be fit).
Luke has had a great time, we have spent some time out and the skating with Dasha, I think he might return for a stopover at some point...... Maybe he might learn a few more words or learn google translate better!! Haha
It's constantly -2 and it just won't snow. Last night was so cold I had to remind myself it's only 2weeks and I'll be on a beach in Miami!! Then catch up with Sarah on the 1st.
Tomorrow we will pack our stuff again and be off to Sweden.

Mum Sounds amazing ! you must be seeing and experiencing so many fun things ! Your trip has almost made me wonder about visiting Russia when we go to scandinavia . All well here. Just about to got o Wodonga to bank our tax returns ! woo hoo ! Well di it finally snow before you left ? No doubt it will be snowing in Sweden. I must admit sitting opn the beach in Miami sounds wonderful ! Another place on my wish list.
Dad Hey man, not sure I agree with all your ma wrote. Domino is well and spends quite a while outside - her shaved area is slowly growing back, but still not as hairy as 'normal'. Simon and Tanja brought Granny up last weekend and we had a fun time pulling the fence down between us and Jurgen - the part for the house paddock, not the whole lot. Also finally moved that water pipe that we used years ago to pump water from the shed tank across to the house. Had to get the water out to make it light enough to reroll and store between 2 of the shed tanks. Opens up that area. You sound like you are having a great time - does sound interesting. Don't do what I did - went A over and got concussion while ice skating (in Canada just a few years ago!) Sweden here you come!! love Dad
Big Rig good to see you have gone back to russia
