Well, it is with great sadness that I say that this will be my final post from South America..., as I am going to be flying off to New Zealand later today... but, I must say, the prospect of somewhere new and exciting does seem attractive...plus, I am relaibly informed by Mum that it is a mystic land rich in Marsbars, Crunchy Nut Cornflakes......and FISH AND CHIPS!!!!!lol.
Not to say that the Empanadas and Pizzas that I have been living off here have not been good, they have, but REAL FOOD!!!! Hallelujah!!! Hallelujah!!!!lol.
Everybod that has ever been to South America probably thinks that Im a right philestine for saying that, due to the abundance of culinary delights of the carnivorous kind that can be found here, but obviously, I havent been eating any of them!!
So, it would appear that there is a conspiracy against me, aiming to prevent me from leaving any place in a straight forward manner... (no, I didnt try to escape a day early this time...) However, after carefully keeping track of what day it was, I asked Pablo, the receptionist to arrange for the Shuttle Bus to the airport to pick me up at 6.30 tonight, last night.Which he did.
However, it would appear that there were a few crossed lines in the whole communication, and I was abrptly awoken at 6.30 this morning to the sound of the receptionist banging on the room door, exclaiming that my shuttle was waiting.....tsskkkkk.
After FINALLY getting the message accross that I wasnt actually leaving for another 12 hours or so, I couldnt even get back to sleep, which is not going to help me in the slightest when get on the plane (which is going to probably be hideous, anyway) when combined with the jetlag from HELL.(Mum says that her and Paul are still messed up after nearly 5 days of being there!!!Great...)
So, bye bye to South America!!!!
On the whole, it has been an amazing adventure, starting all that time ago back in Rio, where I made amazing friends and learn so much, right through to the journey down he coast with Mum and Paul...Florionaplolis, Curitiba, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, then onto Lima...Cusco, The Chilean Lake District, and Santiago. And how could I forget the journey to Foz with Andrea????
Its all been amazing, and Im sad to see this chapter come to a close-but, all good things must come to an end, as the old saying goes!!!
I can only begin to imagine what the next chapter of the journey holds for me from here....HOW EXCITING!!!!
So, I will be off now, with fond memories of South America, forever!!
Unti we meet again, South America....
Cio!!!!!!
