This morning at breakfast there was an announcement to say there would be a boat leaving at 10am, so quickly packed our bags - I'm so ready to leave Fiji, and get away from the bites and spiders and mice! We eventually got on the boat in the pouring rain, with the waves nearly coming over the side of the boat, and made our way to the catamaran. We arrived at the port soaking wet and managed to get on a bus to the hostel. It's still raining, but at least there's no sand, and we're staying in a proper room!
We spent the afternoon catching up on washing and the Internet, and then went for a really nice meal and cocktail in the evening, as we felt we had earned it! At about 11am there was a power cut across the whole of Nadi, which meant that we had to walk back in the pitch black. Earlier in the day we had found out that there was a curfew in the main town because of the looters who were everywhere due to the flooding, so we didn't feel very safe in the dark!
