Well its been a fantastic Christmas and New Years break!!
Had a lovely Christmas at home with the family and of course had a few drinkies on Christmas eve with my sister Laura and Katey Phelps... Was a great night and Katey and I were considered a little drunk :)
Christmas day was fun too.. I even ate most of my dinner! Got some lovely presents including a solar charger for my trip, itune voucher, a couple of lovely necklaces... hmmm cant remember all of them but I wasnt really too interested in presents just being with my family... Christmas evening my uncle and cousin popped in which was lovely.. I spent the whole of Christmas day looking after my dear little nephew... (yep his a cutie)
Boxing day me and my sister headed to Romford for a spot of shopping before heading to our friend Tanya's in Reading for a good ole knees up! As always at Tanya's... There was me, Tanya, Samantha, Jade, Gavin, Laura and of course the lovely KT... We had some lovely drinks and party food and sung and danced the night away til the early hours of the morning... was fun!
27th Dec, rose early at Tanya's as needed to get a train to Rochdale for a Christmas and New Year treat with Will (my boyfriend) Kt kindly offered to give me a lift to the station which was lovely.. We said out farewells and she told me to stay safe and she is proper jell and loves me loads (Thanks KT love you too)
Arrived at Will's, pressies... I got a lovely new bikini (picture to follow in warmer climates lol) some nice Calvin Klein undies and some little bits for my trip!! (A mosi relief shirt will be very useful in Australia and New Zealand) Thank you Will!
29th Dec, departed for Aviemore Scotland to spend few days together and possibly do some skiing!
Arrived in Aviemore after a long 6 hour drive.. (Good driving by Will after a few wee stops :) )
Lovely place and was very cold.. but a few cosy drinks at the Cairngorm hotel sorted us out...
Tried skiing one day but wasnt much snow and stupidly I did my boots up over my leggings and got another sore ankle... so decided a few baileys hot chocies by the fire instead :)
New Years eve day Will and I went for a walk around Loch Morlich, was lovely day... crisp air and a calm breeze... See pic of the Cairngorm mountains over the lake..
New Years night Will and I went to (yep you guessed it) Cairngorm Hotel for a traditional Hogmanay feast dinner and dance complete with bagpipes, dancers and traditional highland dancing... Was such a lovely evening... Whiskey, Brandy, Tequila, Wine, Vodka, Beer (think we had a few scoops?...) Fireworks were going off to the sound of the bagpipes and Will and I had a lovely kiss and cuddle.... arhhhh
Happy New Year to all my Friends! Hope 2012 is a great one for you all!
2nd Jan we returned to Rochdale for a final supper together of Rainbow Trout with veg and potatoes was lovely...Thanks Will
3rd Jan, a sad farewell at Manchester Picadilly... Shed a tear as I said farewell to Will.. Then a lovely farewell dinner with my family in Hornchurch at a Turkish restaurant where my sister decided to be the entertainment for the evening as a belly dancer after a few glasses of red I might add :) very funny!!
Well its 4th January today! my flight takes off from T3 Heathrow at 20:30 this evening... Nervous excited but not looking forward to the 12 hour long haul flight... Leaving for airport around 4ish I think...
Things to do today... repack my case..
Things to purchase at airport after forgetting them sunglasses, Flip flops (sorry Tanya left them at Will's) and a nail file..
First stop is Singapore and had a lovely email from Erma and Cecilia in the SG office asking if they could spend Friday night together at the Night Safari... Very very excited about that... See you girls on Friday when I pop in!!
