Off we go into the wilderness with only a banana and a kiwi! Two buses, then we convinced a family to drive us further North. We arrived at the parc entrance, not impossible... We then are lucky enough to hitch a ride to a lake, this lake was supposted to be only an hour or maybe two away on foot. As we sat in the pick-up of this truck towards the lake it started to rain... I mean really pour it down!
Once we arrive freezing and soaked, the only way to get warm was to start walking so we set off. After a 30min walk the rain started to clear away and we where soon walking in the sun! Hooray! The walk had great views of the barren Andes hillsides! Once the blue skies arrived they lit up the golden green hills. Truly beautifull! Tons of pics! Instead of following the road left and right up the hillside we decided on a short-cut, UP! :D
After 3 hours we though we might be getting close, the road is never ending and after each turn we think we´ll see the entrance in the next corner. But no, just keep on walking, snap another picture. Maybe the next?
Finally we made is with a little happy dance and a sigh of relieve all we had to do now was hitch another ride downtown. Which of course didn´t take tooo long ' in the end there where six of us crammed into the tiniest little suzuki jeep. and we only made a tiny, hour, detour to drop of the drivers cousin and son. Hitting of course an X-Mas parade!! (Almost forgot about that).
