Killer Tom, after reading the cyclist questions you fielded in LaCrosse, I can't help myself by adding a few nuts & bolts questions. What all are you carrying and is there anything you wish you could have on the trip (aside from a portable brewery weighing less than 3 lbs.) For example, do you carry spokes, tires, cables, how much water do you take on the bike, sleeping bag, tent, electronic devices, much warm clothing, changes of clothes, do you ever camp out, essential tools, how many pairs of shoes, a book.... John H Anne and I went to New Ulm for our first anniversary, fond memories of the Schell Brewery and the tasting room. At that time samples were self-served out of bottles passed along the tables. Let's just say being in the back corner where all the bottles collect was fortuitous.
