We had a great Silver Wedding Anniversary in 'the World's Coolest Little Capital'. There was a second instalment of 'Lovejoy in Venice' (not to mention a reminder of work with a TV advert for Advocate: 'Protect your pets and your family from fleas and worms'!)
We had to check in by 7-25am for the ferry 'Kaitaki', which had once been the 'Pride of Cherbourg', so we were pretty sure that we'd been on it before! Although it was very windy in the Cook Strait, it wasn't really rough.
On we drove from Picton. NZ road signs are interesting. I can remember on our first trip to the USA being perturbed by 'Avoid the Median'. The NZ version is 'No overtaking on the flush median'! Then there's 'Wash Out!'. Today we came across 'Seal Repairs', which turned out not to be a specialist phocine vets' place, but a sudden absence of tarmac!
Enough for now. Queen Charlotte's Drive was stunning: see pics!
