So it has been four days since our Dublin three day weekend (Van will cover that blog, on account of Matt's lack of memory - but it was still a great weekend!) and Matt has finally recovered from last weekend! This weekend is a trip up to Røldal with Pauline and Tanya. Røldal is known for its epic snow, and it didn't disappoint! Røldal is a small ski town about 3 hours drive and 2 ferries north of Stavanger. Situated at the head of a fjord probably explains why there is so much snow! Pauline had managed to find us a cheap Cabin in town which was perfect for the four of us. We got there on Friday night in time for Chef Matt to make a delicious dinner (standard). Saturday was pretty windy, but it was a good chance to check out the slopes and find our way around. Then 30cm of snow fell on Saturday night and Sunday was perfect! Weather was sometimes snowy, sometimes cloudy, sometimes sunny, but the snow was amazing and fully justified our purchase of powder skis. Pumped for Hovden in two weeks time!!
