It's been a few weeks since our last blog and it's been spent planning our summer break, a Hovden weekend away (where we gave cross country skiing a go and Matt ate soooo much king crab) and obviously a bit of work in between. And that brings us to Easter. A six day Easter break is standard practice in Norway with many people making it into a 10 day break. It was excellent. We started our trip by flying to Bergen for two days, trained to Oslo and then spent a further two days in Oslo before flying home. A very pricey break, but totally worth it!!
Bergen highlights were:
- the fish market where Matt got the most ridiculous portion of Norwegian seafood and there were gross as sea creatures on display,
- the train and run up Fløyen with sweet views over all of Bergen,
- visiting and exploring Bryggen, and
- of course catching up with some of our Norwegian friends and learning how to play shuffleboard.
