Christian's Little Jaunt
G'day gang, how goes? In Sydney since Saturday, where the hell are all the sun-drenched beaches and beautiful tousle-haired surfer babes? It's done nothing but chuck it down since we got here, and it looks pretty much like a miserable version of Hackney so far. But with a fairly large bridge in the middle. And a strange pointy building seemingly made of formica, inside which you can pay the GDP of Poland to endure the high-pitched warblings of overweight people.
But all is very much well in AbiChristianWorld, still having a blast, and we're off on another roadtrip. Offer accepted on a big yellow camper-style effort, resplendent with beds, pop-up roof, fridge and cooker to name but a few features. Should be picking Steve (in memory of Steve Irwin RIP) up tomorrow, pictures of the beast available here shortly.
So far we've only seen Sydney itself which is pretty much London - we're staying in Kings Cross where the prostitutes and the pushers mingle with the faux-mulletted Hoxton-like bright young things. Big and brash, the food's fast and the beer's rubbish. It's kind of surprising to find it so, what's the word, urban - it's not all croc-wrestling, beer-swilling stereotypes, but sure we'll run into a few on our travels up the East Coast and beyond. Let you know as things unravel dudes, C x
